The nickel chromium molybdenum composition provides the material with excellent corrosion resistance and strength. It also has good mechanical properties such as 220MPa minimum yield strength and 490MPa minimum tensile strength. The melting point of the material is also high at 1350 degrees Celsius. The Alloy 904L Blind Flange is used at the end of a pipe to close it, mostly permanently. The material is a low carbon version of the 904 grade of steel. This means welding and forming operations are easy on these flanges without risking grain formation and intergranular corrosion due to the carbide precipitation while welding.
The SS 904L Plate Flange has a plate attached to it for larger space to work with welding, bolting and other attaching methods. The flanges come under ASTM B649 specification with various standards according to ANSI, ASME, DIN and EN standards. The sizes of these flanges range from ½ inches to 48 inches and the pressure classes vary. ASME SA182 SS 904L WNRF Flanges are weld neck raised face flanges. These have welded necks and raised faces, both for added strength and these flanges can range in pressure classes from 150 through 2500 and PN6 through PN64. The application of these flanges is seen in a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, petrochemical, marine, sea water and power generation. The SS DIN 1.4539 Nippo Flanges are used in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, paper and pulp industries, offshore oil drilling and in chemical and sea water equipment manufacturing. We supply all types of the different SS UNS N08904 Industrial Flanges to suit any application. Please contact us for more product information and pricing.
