SS 904L Slip On Flanges

The nickel chromium molybdenum composition provides the material with excellent corrosion resistance and strength. It also has good mechanical properties such as 220MPa minimum yield strength and 490MPa minimum tensile strength. The melting point of the material is also high at 1350 degrees Celsius. The Alloy 904L Blind Flange is used at the end of a pipe to close it, mostly permanently. The material is a low carbon version of the 904 grade of steel. This means welding and forming operations are easy on these flanges without risking grain formation and intergranular corrosion due to the carbide precipitation while welding.

The SS 904L Plate Flange has a plate attached to it for larger space to work with welding, bolting and other attaching methods. The flanges come under ASTM B649 specification with various standards according to ANSI, ASME, DIN and EN standards.
